Tuesday Club

This Tuesday evening club meets from 7.15-9 in the Dartmouth Baptist Church. This club is open for all 9-12 year olds. Each term, Mitch puts together a creative, fun-filled schedule of activity for them. These activities include games such as Cluedo, egg race, and leg rallies. They also enjoy baking, string art, live Cluedo, holiday crafts, t-shirt painting, etc.

Each evening has a break in the middle giving the kids a chance to buy a sweet and a drink, but also to hear a challenge from the Bible. The few minutes that Mitch has to do the God-Slot are usually verses or parables or stories from the Bible that fit in to the theme of the evening. Many of the children sit and listen because they have to but many are soaking in his words. Please pray that these seeds planted will bring about a harvest of souls for God's church and kingdom.

This club also is in desperate need of strong leaders. The club started this year with about 18-20 for a few weeks but since has had 25 plus each evening. There are many more boys coming, which is great but it adds to the energy and activity levels of the evening. Although the girls can certainly hold their own!

In May 2001, we celebrated our fifth anniversary! When club started in 1996, we had only three children, and now we have more than forty! We celebrated with anniversary cake, and even had our photo in the local newspaper!
