About Youth Action Dartmouth
"But be sure to fear the Lord and serve Him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things He has done for you." - 1 Samuel 12:24

Youth Action Dartmouth began in November 1995 as a result of the many Christians in our town who were concerned about the lack of Christian outreach to the children and youth of Dartmouth. Mitch and Vicki Spangler, full-time youth workers under Global Outreach Mission, were asked to come and begin this work. As the Lord provided funding for the housing, it was obvious to all of God's stamp on this ministry.

The purpose of Youth Action Dartmouth is to provide a service on behalf of the churches of Dartmouth, for encouraging local youngsters to see the Christian gospel as a practical and joyful way of life. Mitch and Vicki bring special skills with youngsters to help the churches, but perhaps more importantly they make youngsters feel interested because of the time they invest in them. The aim of YAD is to enable more church people to be involved in that vital commitment to young people, and to make youngsters feel a part of today's church.

The means by which Mitch and Vicki reach Dartmouth's children are varied but the purposes behind each activity are the same - to show young people that Jesus loves and cares for them and He can change their lives.
